Since 1975, we've been committed to providing a comfortable place for people of all sexual orientations and religious affiliations to experience Judaism. In July 2007 Beth Ahavah affiliated with Congregation Rodeph Shalom. Beth Ahavah retains its congregational status within the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) and its membership in the World Congress of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Jews: Keshet Ga'avah. Beth Ahavah proudly offers its congregation dual membership at both Beth Ahavah and Rodeph Shalom. Who We Are:We are a community with members of all ages who enjoy celebrating our Judaism with our GLBT and allied friends. Gatherings:Congregation Beth Ahavah gathers for Shabbat services on selected Friday evenings throughout the year. Please check our website at www.bethahavah.org for selected dates. We worship with Congregation Rodeph Shalom at all other times (including Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur). Congregation Beth Ahavah also celebrates the Jewish holidays with a Sukkah Party, Hanukkah Party, Christmas Eve dinner in Chinatown (well, sort of a Jewish holiday) Tu Bishvat Seder, Purim Shpiel, and Passover Cafe. We also host annual Shabbat services for Equality Forum. |
