A Reconciling, Antiracist Congregation of Open Hearts and Open Minds located in the heart of Chestnut Hill. Honoring the diversity of paths to God, Chestnut Hill United Church is a faith community with open hearts and open minds. We value the life and teachings of Jesus. We are called to act for justice, to honor the Earth, and to trust the transforming power of God. We are a living sanctuary that ignites the inner spirit to participate in God's ongoing creation.

Who We Are:

At Chestnut Hill United Church, we are a diverse group of people. Our ages range from the very small to the wise elders, and the largest age groups in the church are 3-10 and 35-48 years old. Our skin colors stretch the gamut, and we represent a number of cultures and abilities. We are a Reconciling Congregation, and welcome people of all sexual orientations, genders, races, and beliefs. We are an Antiracist Congregation, which strives to identify, seek out and address racism in all forms. Although we are self-consciously Christian, we also have a number of associate members who are Muslim, Jewish, Pagan or Shinto. We celebrate being Christian, while not claiming that Christianity is either the only or the best way.

Gatherings:

Worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am. Spirit at Play (Christian Education for children and youth), Adult Study, and Choir Rehearsal at 9:30 am and open to all.
