Bryson Institute of the Attic Youth Center

Since 2001, the Bryson Institute has been the education and advocacy component of the Attic Youth Center. Our main objective is to improve the climate and support systems for LGBTQ youth; by working with the various systems that youth take part in. We facilitate workshops focused on supporting LGBTQ youth, attend community events to talk about our services, and consult with individuals and/or organizations on specific issues that they may be experiencing. The Institute's services reach a wide geographic area including Philadelphia and its surrounding counties, as well as the state of New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware. Since our inception, we have trained over 21,000 people. Trainings take place in faith communities, K-12 schools, universities, social service agencies, and other organizations that serve youth.
